Yeah!!! iPhone 4 in Singapore in July!!!
Moved from the high class Raffles Beijing Hotel to the more practical Shen Zhou International Hotel. Little did we expect that the difference is so huge right from the beginning — no porter came to our taxis on our arrival, and really rude service at the concierge. Oh well… What to do in a city where volume works. Here’s my mobile workstation! It’s time to start work. :)
[A little upset that my usual VPN doesn’t work anymore and I can no longer bypass the Great (Fire)wall of China. So many of my usual hangouts (Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube) are no longer available! Fortunately the Internet access at the hotel is still rather fast. And for those who wonder how I am able to blog to Tumblr without having access, there’s actually a Email Publishing option! Check it out. ]
Why do I like Glee? The stories/plots never make sense. But it brings me to place where things are always so positive and things always end up right. And there’s all the great songs/mashups that they have too. Exposes all the songs that I would have never knew.
This is the Glee cast’s version of Hello. The original song was sung by Lionel Richie and was released in 1984, the year that I was born!
I’ve been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I’ve kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you’re looking for?I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You’re all I’ve ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
‘Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you…I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again how much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello, I’ve just got to let you know‘Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven’t got a clue
But let me start by saying, I love you…Hello, is it me you’re looking for?
‘Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven’t got a clue
But let me start by saying… I love you
[Yeah~! I finally have some time to blog~! Actually, maybe it’s I’m finally enough reasons to blog. I still have lots of work to clear… *Sobs*]
So exactly ten days ago, I had a lunch appointment with my boss at Takashimaya. He brought me to this Japanese restaurant at the basement level and we had quite a good lunch! He mentioned that he needed to leave for a while and so I began to start crunching through the issue of WIRED magazine that he passed to me.
Then presto! This nicely wrapped box was dropped in front of me.

I knew exactly what was wrapped inside. :D Time to unwrap!
Tada~! 我很像很久没有在镜头前笑得如此灿烂。哈哈~
My boss knew that I couldn’t wait to get home to proceed with the unboxing. And so soon after he fetched me back home already. Haha…
Just one nice profile shot of the new MacBook Pro:
What’re the technical specifications of the new machine?
I quickly did the necessary updates and software installations. One thing I noticed was that the boot time of the new baby was crazy compared to my older machine. Here we have a fairly unscientific comparison. [As you may have noticed, I’m using the wrapping paper everywhere… Haha…]
3x faster wor~ Whoo~!
Then with the help of my boss (once again) and RushFaster, I got a COTEetCIEL Diver Sleeve for the laptop. The design is very simple and muted, just what I had visialized. And it fits the laptop very snugly. Superb~!
Here’s how I went out with my wife the last few times: Dress up nicely in appropriate attire, slip her into her sleeves, and we’re are ready to date! Her battery life has been long enough that I can attend a meeting/presentation without having to worry that the power will run out anytime soon.
My life has just became so much more wonderful. :)
I’m probably one of the few Singaporeans when asked whether I feel that I’ve wasted time serving National Service who answers, “Nope.” I honestly felt that I had a blast picking up new knowledge in my unit, which actually paved quite a nice foundation into IT and networking for me.
That was until my Platoon Commander showed up.
[This is where the nasty bits come up. Do not ever read the rest of the post if you’re easily offended or too sensitive.]
Whoa~ What should I do when one of my favourite comedian on my favourite news program is being so offensive towards my favourite company?
Then again, a lot of the details shared are not actually accurate. I still love Jon Stewart. I still love Apple.
By the way, good dig at AT&T there. :D
[Update 30 May — Oh, and how can I forget the “There’s an app for that” jab. HAHAHA…]
